Under the inspiration of God, after a search for significance and meaning in life, Solomon summarized his findings with “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” In similar fashion, John wrote from the isle of Patmos, “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” Likewise, Seigi Bushido Ryu looks at today with eternity in view.

The progression of bringing glory to God begins with the salvation of an individual soul. That individual is then brought into the body of a local church. Through personal discipleship the individual grows. This growth brings the person into conformity with the image of Christ. This results in God receiving the glory that is due Him.

The martial arts is just a tool to enable this five step process to function. While physical prowess will result, it is not foundational.

While self-confidence will be developed, it is not the objective. These are simply stepping stones in the growth of the Christian.

Every class, all teaching, all writing, every aspect of the martial arts must promote this view of eternity and target the development of things which encourage this progression.
